What Could Be More Special Than Hand Crafting Your Own Wedding Ring?

We welcome you our beautiful studio at Wyresdale Park Country Estate, to participate in one of our exclusive days which are held throughout the year. Our students learn ancient jewellery techniques and we guide our brides and grooms to make something extremely unique and personal, to celebrate their love for evermore. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Lancashire countryside, the day includes full hospitality and bubbly.

THE DAY 

9.30 am Start & welcome with tea & coffee and pastries
10.00 am Demonstration and design session
1.00 pm Lunch
2.00 pm Afternoon practical - perfecting your designs in wax
4.30 pm Celebration of your work with a glass of bubbly or beer

YOU WILL LEARN

 Designing for wax carving  
Properties of different forms of wax 
Using wax carving tools to achieve your designs  
Making finished wax carved masters ready to cast  
All the tools and materials you need will be provided on the day 

It’s a really flexible technique you will be working with so if you want plain simple bands or more contemporary ones it’s all achievable. You will make your rings out of wax ready for casting in metal.

AFTERNOON TEA

Lunch is served in the Victorian glass orangery. A selection of freshly made sandwiches, yummy cakes, scones with jam & cream, all served on a traditional carousel with tea or filter coffee. Locally sourced and homemade by The Apple Store. Vegetarian and vegan afternoon teas are also available.

We celebrate your special day with a glass of fizz or beer.

PRECIOUS METAL UPGRADES

Your rings will be made in sterling silver which is included in the cost of the day. We do offer a precious metal upgrade service where you will have the choice of 9ct & 18ct yellow or white gold, platinum and rose gold. We will weigh the waxes at the end of the day and give you the price differences. You don’t have to make the decision as to whether you want to upgrade until this time.

SHAPED BANDS TO FIT AROUND AN ENGAGEMENT RING

On the day we can help you make a wedding band to fit closer to your engagement ring.

ADD SOME SPARKLE

Precious and semi-precious stones can be incorporated once your rings have been cast in precious metal.

WHEN TO BOOK

One common question we receive is regarding booking timelines. We recommend allowing a minimum of 8 weeks in advance for the casting process to take place, as well as for any additional customization options such as stones, engraving, and plating. Unless our brides and grooms are planning to dramatically loose weight your finger sizes won't change so you can take part in a workshop at any point in your wedding planning journey.
